Eugene Richard Pahl “Tuffy”, a beloved figure in the Amboy, MN community, was born on December 17, 1940, and left this world peacefully on October 6, 2026, at the age of 85. A celebration of his life will be held from 11-2pm Saturday October 24 at the Snowbirds room in Amboy. Online condolences can be left at www.spencerowen.com
Tuffy was born to Lewis and Arlene (Oachs) Pahl and lived a life filled with passion for the outdoors, especially his cherished country life, where he thrived as a devoted farmer on the family farm alongside his father and brother, Timmy, well into his 80s. His heart belonged to the animals that shared his life. His love for dogs—especially his German Shepherds—as well as his horses, cats, deer, birds, and squirrels were a testament to his compassionate spirit. He delighted in trail riding with friends, embracing the beauty of nature that surrounded him. Those who knew him remember him not just for his farming prowess, but also for his generosity and kindness to those around him.
Tuffy was a loving father to Lynn (Jake) Ziegler, his grandchildren Kyle, Colton and Natalie. His sisters; Tammy (Jim) Gathman and Cindy (Denny) McClain and brother Scott. His dear and close nephew Jesse as well as other nieces, nephews, extended family and close friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Tim, Lonnie and Gerald, sister Kay and infant son Burnell Dean.
