Thomas Harold Golly, beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away on May 10, 2025, at the age of 80. A public visitation will be held 5-7pm Thursday May 15 at the Lutheran Church of Our Savior in Winnebago and one hour before the service. A memorial service will follow at 11am Friday May 16 with Rev. Mike Omtvedt officiating. A private family burial will be at Rosehill Cemetery. Online condolences can be left at www.spencerowen.com

Born on August 27, 1944, in Winnebago to William and Helen (Robertson Golly, Tom lived a life marked by dedication to his family, his faith, and the land he cherished. Tom was a true farmer at heart. After graduating from Huntley High School he pursued his education at Mankato State while dating his sweetheart, Judy. They married on December 30, 1966 and celebrated 58 years of happiness together. He taught Industrial Arts in Truman for 4 years and then started farming. He took great pride in carrying on the family farming legacy. His passion extended to raising hogs and cattle. A man of strong faith, he was a dedicated member of the Lutheran Church of Our Savior, where he rarely missed a Sunday and faithfully served as an usher. His commitment to community was evident through his service on numerous boards, including the Pork Producers Board, the Winnebago School Board, the Faribault County ASCS Board, and the Corn Plus Board, in addition to an impressive tenure as a member of the Winnebago City Township Board for 46 years. Tom was an adventurous man. He enjoyed flying his Piper Arrow airplane and exploring the mountainous terrains of Arizona on his four-wheeler. 

Tom is survived by his loving wife, Judy Golly, who stood by his side through thick and thin, his sons; Timothy (Amy) and Todd (Mindy), grandchildren; Thomas, Giselle, Jackson, and step-grandson Tyler Hammerschmidt, sisters-in-law; Ruth Ann Golly and Joan Schonrock, brothers-in-law; Duane Larson and Kenneth Schonrock, as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, sisters; Sharon Grefe and Mary Larson, brother, Richard Golly and Brother-in-law William Grefe.
