Janet Grover was born January 23, 1932 in Nebraska to Howard S. and Hazel (Webster) Cox.  She moved as a child to a farm in Cook MN before relocating several years later to Amboy where her father purchased the hardware store.  After graduating from Amboy High School and Mankato Teachers College, she taught 5th grade in Wayzata MN before moving back to Amboy to marry the love of her life, Gordon Grover, on July 27, 1952. They were married at the First Presbyterian Church in Amboy.

Janet had three great loves in her life: her family - including her husband (Gordon, deceased), her children and spouses, her grandchildren and spouses, and her great grandchildren; her church – the First Presbyterian Church of Amboy where she served in many leadership positions and was a friend to all; and reading – which she loved to share through her writing and work with the local library and the regional library system.

Janet was known and loved for her gentle caring spirit, which she shared with all she came in contact with.  She loved spending time with friends and family but most of all she loved being a grand mother.  She was a servant leader, sharing her many talents with the Sterling Cemetery Board, Presbyterian Church, regional Presbytery, and Local and Regional Library Boards.

Janet is survived by her children: Grant (Mary Haven) Grover of Longmont, CO, Donald (Susan) Grover of Amboy, Thomas (Donnelle) Grover of Blaine, Ann (David) DeWitz of Good Thunder, Neal (Shelli) Grover of Amboy and Beth (Timothy) Wiederholt of Stillwater; Her grandchildren: Nick (Beth) LeGolvan, Hope Grover, Joshua (Shawna) Grover, Robert (Katlyn) Grover, Thomas (Christine) Smith, Jenna (Luke) Beck, Sarah Smith, Carolyn (Dan) Adamson, Michael (Lea) Grover, Joyce (Joe) Barnard, Amy DeWitz, Daniel DeWitz, Adam (Megan) Grover, Eric (Danielle) Grover, Ryan Grover, Andrew Wiederholt and Lindsey Wiederholt; Her great-grandchildren: Peter, Jolene, Bridget, Jasper, Finnegan, Walter, Arthur, Isabelle, Madelyn, Deborah, Sophia, Rivka, Deacon, Donovan, James and William; sister-in-law, Harriet Bonnett and many other relatives and friends.

Janet is preceded in death by her parents, husband Gordon (2015), her brother Howard S. Cox Jr. and 6 in-laws, all whom she loved very much.
