David Ellsworth Rynearson

David Ellsworth Rynearson, age 81 of Winnebago passed away at Timely Mission Nursing Home in Buffalo Center, IA on November 5, 2019.

He was born on September 28, 1938 to Ellsworth and Pearl (Hall) Rynearson of Winnebago. He graduated from Huntley High School in 1956 and earned his Bachelor of Science degree in business from Mankato State University in 1990. He served in the United Stated Air Force from 1959 to 1962 in Duluth where he met and married Loretta Evelyn Johnson.

After serving his country, he and Loretta returned to Winnebago where he farmed with his brother Danny for 40 years. Dave was also a flight instructor at the Fairmont airport and was part owner of the Winnebago bowling alley with his brother and father for many years.

He was an avid fisherman, enjoyed bowling and reading historical material.

Dave is survived by his loving wife Loretta, their son Paul (Lynn) of Lake Crystal, daughter Anne (John-Mark) Rynearson-Schlink of Northfield; three grandchildren, Lucas, Cameron and Sophia; siblings Susan Rynearson, Danny Rynearson, Debra Perry and Jill Rynearson as well as other extended family and many friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother.

A private family service will take place at Spencer-Owen Funeral Home Tuesday November 12. A reception will follow at the First Presbyterian Church in Winnebago at 2pm, all are welcome to join the family for fellowship and lunch.
