Lucille A. Eldredge Blue Earth August 7, 2010 Lucille Eldredge, age 89 of Blue Earth, formerly of Winnebago died on Saturday, August 07, 2010 at United Hospital in Blue Earth. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, August 13, 2010 at 9:00 AM at the 1st United Methodist Church in Winnebago with Rev. Karl Rydholm officiating. Burial will be in Ft. Snelling National Cemetery, St. Paul. Visitation times will be from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at St. Luke’s Lutheran Care Center in Blue Earth and from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at Spencer-Owen Funeral Home in Winnebago on Thursday, August 12, 2010. Visitation will continue one hour prior to services at the church on Friday. www.spencerowen.com Lucille was born at Clear Lake, WI on July 8, 1921 the daughter of Vernon and Gladys (Thomas) Dresser. Lucille was raised and educated in Clear Lake, WI graduating from Union Free High School in Clear Lake in 1940. She married Stuart Eldredge on October 4, 1941 in Wayland Missouri. Lucille was a member of the Women Army Corps in WWII where she served as a Medical Tech. Lucille held many offices in the Rebekah Lodge. She serves as President of the Rebekah Assembly State of Minnesota in 1987, was a 64 year member of the Starlight Rebekah Lodge #11 in Winnebago. She was a Past President of the Minnesota Ladies Auxiliary Patriarch Militant. She was a Past Chief Matriarch of Ladies Encampment Auxiliary and was a Past President of the American Legion Auxiliary. Lucille was also a long time member of the United Methodist Church in Winnebago. Lucille and her husband opened up their home to many children who needed a “ma” and “pa.” Lucille is survived by her daughter, Julie (Jim) Lee of Las Vegas, Nevada; her son Vernon (Chin Li) Eldredge of Winnebago; her grandchildren, Crystal, Krista, Sabrina, Eric, Samantha, and Steven; and 8 great grandchildren. Lucille was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 1 infant sister, grandson, Jeffery Alan Lee and special friend, George Tonolli.
