November 15, 2009 Mankato Delores Jane Diaz Delores Diaz, age 77, of Mankato, formerly of Winnebago, died Sunday, November 15, 2009, at Oaklawn Health Care Center in Mankato. Memorial Services will be held on Thursday, November 19, 2009 at 11:00AM at the First Baptist Church in Winnebago, with Rev. Tom Butler officiating. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery, Winnebago. Visitation time will be from 4:00 to 6:00 PM on Wednesday, November 18, 2009, at Spencer-Owen Funeral Home in Winnebago and continuing one hour prior to services at the church on Thursday. Web Tributes may be left at www.spencerowen.com Delores was born November 10, 1932, at Winnebago, MN, the daughter of Leonard and Rose (Fowler) Pettit. Delores was raised and educated in Winnebago, graduating from Winnebago High School in 1952. She then attended Beautician School. Delores was united in marriage to Felix Diaz on September 13, 1952 in Fairmont. Delores worked as a Beautician in Fairmont, a Nurses Aid at Parker Oaks in Winnebago and did factory work. She retired in 2006. Delores was a Member of the First Baptist Church in Winnebago and was a part of the quilting club and many other activities. Delores is survived by her sons, Marvin (Brenda) Diaz of Blue Earth; Anthony Diaz of Winnebago; 1 grandson; sister, Mary Jean Flores of Blue Earth; and brother, Glenn (Gladys) Pettit of Delevan. Delores was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister, Pauline; brothers, DuWayne and Merton Pettit; and one infant grandson Marvin.
