Albert Lea November 02, 2009 Kiernan J. O'Neil Kiernan J. O'Neil, age 54, of Albert Lea, formerly of Winnebago died Monday, November 2, 2009, at St. Johns Lutheran Home in Albert Lea. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2009 at 11:00 AM at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Winnebago, with Father Mark McNea officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, rural Delavan. Visitation will start at 9:30 AM on Saturday at the church. Spencer-Owen Funeral Home in Winnebago is assisting the family with arrangements. Web tributes may be left at www.spencerowen.com Kiernan was born March 21, 1955, in Winnebago, the son of Francis and Virginia (Springer) O’Neil. Kiernan was raised in Delavan, graduating from Delavan High School in 1973. After High School he attended Mankato State for one year then attended Winona State, graduating in 1977. After he graduated he lived in the Metro Area and Ellendale and then later moved to Winnebago in December of 2006. Kiernan enjoyed being with family and friends and had a love for music. Kiernan also loved watching sports including his favorite team, the Minnesota Twins. Kiernan is survived by his brother, Jerry (Corrine) O’Neil of Lewisville TX.; brother, Kent (Kay) O’Neil of Starbuck, MN.; brother, Dennis (Linda) O'Neil of Winnebago; sister, Jeannine O’Neil of Concord, CA.; sister Rosalyn (Eugene) Crossen of Richfield MN.; 8 nieces, 7 nephews, many great nieces and nephews, and 1 great great nephew. Kiernan was preceded in death by his parents.
