KENT RALPH ARMSTRONG, age 72, of Winnebago, died Tuesday, January 5, 2016, at his home in Winnebago. Memorial services will be held on Friday, January 8, 2016, at 2:00 PM, at the First Presbyterian Church in Winnebago, with Rev. Michael Roys officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Winnebago. Visitation time will be from 4:00pm-7:00pm Thursday, January 7, 2016, at Spencer Owen Funeral Home, 345 6th Ave SE in Winnebago, and 1 hour before the service at the church. He was united in marriage to Janeen “Jan” Rae Isenberger on June 1, 1963 in Winnebago. Together they had three sons, Jay, Travis, and Jeff. Kent was a purchasing agent for Telex Communications until retiring in 2005. He enjoyed playing golf at Riverside Town & Country Men’s Club, and singing in the First Presbyterian Church Choir. He is survived by his wife, Jan Armstrong of Winnebago, son, Jay (Kelly) Armstrong of Lansdowne, VA, son, Travis (Tami) Armstrong of Blue Earth, son, Jeff (Dave Seay) Armstrong of St. Paul, sister, Susan (Craig) Arko of Apple Valley, brother, Chuck Armstrong of Minneapolis, sister, Gloria "Tib" Hatch of Seattle, WA, four grandchildren, Téa and Addison Armstrong of Blue Earth, Madison and Ashley Armstrong of Lansdowne, VA, mother-in-law Muriel Wheatman of Decorah, sisters-in-law, Susan (Chip) Peterson of Decorah, IA, and Tracy (Roger) Croatt of Hawkeye, IA . He was preceded in death by his parents, father-in-law, Lowell Isenberger, step-father-in-law Roger Wheatman.
