Karen Swanson

Karen Ann Swanson, age 66, of Winnebago, died Wednesday, September 2, 2015, at Lakeview Methodist Health Care. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2015, at 10:30 AM, at Lakeview Methodist Chapel 610 Summit Drive in Fairmont, with Chaplain Bruce Koskovich officiating. Visitation time will be from 1 hour before at the Chapel. Web tributes may be left at www.spencerowen.com Karen was born January 9, 1949, at Mankato, the daughter of Donald and Dorothy (Nilson) Swanson. Later they moved to Bloomington and enjoyed growing up in the great city. She went to many different schools and graduated from Lincoln in 1967. She went on to beauty school in Mankato and worked for Magic Moments. Later she went to work for Barnes & Noble, Best Buy in accounting, then 15 years at Mystic Lake as a black jack dealer. She moved to Winnebago to be with her mom and sister in 2012 Karen A Swanson is survived by her sister, Sandra Swanson of Winnebago, aunt, Jane (Jerry) Poole of Winnebago, aunt, Mary Nilson of Fonda, IA, uncle, Del Burton of Badger, SD, and many cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, many aunts and uncles.
