Funeral services for Dolores E. Wiederhoeft, 92, of Amboy, MN will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2015 at 11:00 AM at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Amboy. Interment will be held at the church cemetery. Dolores died on Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at the Mapleton Community Home, Mapleton. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 10:00-11:00 AM at the church in Amboy. Arrangements are being handled by Spencer-Owen Funeral Home in Winnebago, MN.
Dolores E. Ziemke was born on March 9, 1923 in rural Vernon Center, MN to Henry and Emma (Turner) Ziemke. She attended the Oliver District 147 in rural Vernon Center through eighth grade and graduated from Garden City High School, Garden City, MN. Dolores worked in Mankato before her marriage. On July 21, 1943, Dolores was united in marriage to Kermit Wiederhoeft in St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Vernon Center, MN. Dolores was a farm wife and homemaker for 72 years on the farm. She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Amboy and the ladies guild. Dolores enjoyed embroidery, baking and gardening. She loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Dolores is survived by her husband, Kermit Wiederhoeft, Mapleton, MN; two daughters, Nancy (Duane) Letcher, Truman, MN, Connie Krusemark, Battle Lake, MN; two sons, Dale (Vickie), Winnebago, Steven, Amboy; five grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; twin sister, Dorothy (Orin) Wiederhoeft. She was preceded in death by her parents; son-in-law, Craig Krusemark; grandson-in-law, Ryan Glenz; sisters, Evelyn Wilke, Geraldine Banwart Luedtke, Marvel Cooley; brother, Willard Ziemke; and numerous sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.
