Marlene Abbas, age 82, Shakopee, died Thursday, February 12, 2015, at St. Gertrude's Health Care Center. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2015, at 1:00 PM, at Spencer Owen Funeral Home in Winnebago, with Chaplain Jacquelyn Witter officiating. Burial will be in Lura Township Cemetery. Visitation time will be 1 hour before the service at Spencer Owen Funeral Home, 345 6th Ave SE in Winnebago. Marlene Abbas is survived by her daughter, Susan (Dennis) Rehbein of Las Vegas, daughter, Donna Bates of Bricelyn, son, Walter (Joan) Abbas of St. Paul, daughter, Mary (Jeff) Penney of Eden Prairie, sister, Fran (Art) Schricker, brother, Dwayne (Marge) Ford, sister, Twyla (Wayne) Elison, brother, Dennis (Linda) Ford, sister, Judy (William) Herrmann, sister, Peggy Ford, sister, Kathy (Dick) Wake, brother, Bradley (Marilyn) Ford, sister, Debbie McClimek, 11 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and 1 great grandson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter “Walt” Abbas, infant daughter, parents, 3 brothers, and son-in-law, Robert Bates.
