Vera Jenkins Anderson

Vera Jenkins Anderson, Winnebago, died February 1, 2015. She was born February 18, 1930 to Archie and Ruth Jenkins. She graduated from Winnebago High School in 1948 and later the Mankato Beauty School. Vera retired from the State of Minnesota Health Dept. in 1996. She enjoyed quilting, gardening, and her 2 cats. She was a member of the American Legion Women’s Auxiliary, the Red Hat Society, and a lifelong member of the Winnebago First Baptist Church. Survivors include her daughters Julie Childs (Duffin Olson), Cape Coral, FL; Gloria Perrizo (Paul) Valley Springs, SD; Sheri Swanson (David), Cambridge, MN; & Kimberly Aamodt (Scott), Austin, TX; grandchildren Kerry (Mike), Matt (Des), Dani, Zac (Leah), Cassie, Jake, Max, & Zoey; 3 great grandchildren Aaron, Alex, & Nate. Vera was preceded in death by her parents and 3 brothers. A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, February 8 at 1 p.m. at the Winnebago First Baptist Church with Pastor Tom Butler officiating. Visitation will be at the Church Fellowship Hall Saturday, February 7 from 3 to 5 p.m.
