Janet Elaine Patterson, 67, Delavan, MN died on Monday, December 15, 2014 at Parkview Care Center, Wells, MN. No services are planned at this time. Janet Elaine Patterson was born on June 24, 1947 to Orville Sylvester and Dorothy Irene (Emery) Peterson in Winnebago. She was raised in Winnebago and graduated from Winnebago High School in 1966. Janet moved to Rapidan where she met her future husband. She worked at Paper Box in Mankato. On February 11, 1967 Janet was united in marriage to Edward Patterson at the Methodist Church in Delavan. They lived in Blue Earth for short time and later moved to Delavan where she resided until her death. She worked at Green Giant in Blue Earth, Electro Craft in Winnebago, the US Post Office in Delavan, Delavan Grade School, Telex in Blue Earth, Seneca Foods in Blue Earth, Custom Food Processing, Blue Earth, MET in Winnebago, Meter Man in Winnebago, Aerospace in Blue Earth and the Adolescent Treatment Center in Winnebago. Janet retired in 2013. She loved all kinds of crafts and she liked Thrift Store shopping. She especially loved spending time with her family and her dog. Janet is survived by her husband, Edward Patterson, Delavan, MN; one son, Gregory Hiko Patterson, Delavan, MN; one brother, James Orville Petersen, Albert Lea, MN; four sisters, Lucille Edwards, St. Paul, MN, Marsha Anderson (Rodney), Blue Earth, Mary Mealman, Estherville, IA, Carol Armstrong (Sam), Mankato, MN; one sister-in-law, Shizue Patterson, Dassel, MN; special friends, Steven and Shelly Theobald; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Gary, Barry, William, Mark; three sisters, Diana Lawrence, Sue Diaz, Sheila Marie Petersen; Mother-in-law, Father-in-law; two brothers-in-law; three nephews and one niece.
