Ruth Marie Johnson

RUTH M JOHNSON, age 77, of Winnebago, died Tuesday, August 20, 2013, at United Hospital. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2013, at 11:00 AM, at the First United Methodist Church in Winnebago, with Rev. Durene Cornell officiating. Burial will be in Lura Cemetery at a later date. Visitation time will be from 5:00pm 7:00pm Friday, August 23, 2013 at Spencer Owen Funeral Home, 345 6th Ave SE in Winnebago, and 1 hour before at the church. Web tributes may be left at www.spencerowen.com She was born May 31, 1936, at Blue Earth, the daughter of Ray and Mabel (Mikkelson) Brenckman. She graduated from Blue Earth High School in 1954. On September 11, 1954 she married Dwight Duane Johnson in Blue Earth. She was a member of the United Methodist Women, the Delavan United Methodist Church until in closed in 2013, very involved with the DHS Inc. which helped saved the Delavan High School from being destroyed, she also loved to travel, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family babysitting for her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, Dwight Johnson of Winnebago, her son, Craig (Jan) Johnson of Hutchinson, her son, Todd (Joleen) Johnson of Easton, her sister, Donna Christensen of Lady Lake, FL, 9 grandchildren Nate (Heather) Johnson, Dustin (Jessica) Johnson, Seth (Kristina) Johnson, Shana (Ben) Grams, Alesha (Jarett) Stauffer, Andrea (Ashton) James, Drew Johnson, Melissa Johnson & finance Andy Joslyn, Alisha Miller, 10 great grandchildren, Mallory & Chelsea Johnson, Austin, Parker, & Ryder Stauffer, Jessi, & Rowdy James, Kylee Johnson, Zach, & Izabel Johnson. She was preceded in death by her son Mark, parents, brother Richard Brenckman, and brother-in-law Bud Christensen.
