Duane F Marsh

The angels came October 10, 2012 early morning at the Mapleton Community Home to take Duane F. Marsh, age 71, of Winnebago to his heavenly home. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 13, 2012, at 11:00 AM, at First United Methodist Church in Winnebago, with Rev. Durene Cornell officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Winnebago, MN. Visitation time will be from 5:00 until 8:00 PM Friday, October 12, 2012 at Spencer Owen Funeral Home, 345 6th Ave SE in Winnebago and 1 hour before the service at the church. He grew up and then graduated from Winnebago High School in 1960, and from Mankato Vocational in sales and agriculture in 1968. He worked for WFS for 40 years and retired in 2001. He is survived by his wife, Ellen of 46 years, daughter, Jolene Lewis and fiancé Dennis Baxter of Winnebago, his daughter, Jerrie (Dale) Sorgatz of Delavan, daughter, Ellen Mae Wier of Colorado, sister, Ramona Swan of Mapleton, sister, Barbara (Alvin) Floden of Waldorf, MN, 6 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his daughter Jennie Marsh, parents, brothers, Dale and Dennis Marsh, and brother-in-law Bud Swan.
