JANICE M. ANDERSON, age 77, of Winnebago, died Sunday, September 9, 2012, at her home. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 15, 2012, at 11:00 AM, at Community Covenant Church of Huntley with Rev. Delmar Burgess officiating. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery, Winnebago. Visitation time will be from 5:00 to 8:00 PM Friday at Spencer Owen Funeral Home, 345 6th Ave SE in Winnebago and one hour prior to services at the church. Web tributes may be left at www.spencerowen.com Janice was born March 21, 1935, in Winnebago, the daughter of George and Berniece (Holtz) Anderson. She was a 1953 graduate of Huntley High School and then attended Northwestern Bible College in Minneapolis. She lived in Minneapolis and worked at the Registrar of Deeds Office of the Hennepin County Courthouse for many years. She retired in 1997 and later returned home to Winnebago in 2001. Janice was a longtime member of the Powderhorn Park Baptist Church in Minneapolis where she was a member of the Business Women’s Group. She loved to travel throughout the country, especially to Colorado, Florida and Hawaii. She was a Minnesota sports fan and enjoyed following the Twins, Vikings, Gophers and Lynx. She had also been a volunteer at Parker-Oaks in Winnebago. Janice is survived by her Sister, Carolyn Anderson of Winnebago, her Brother, David Anderson of Blue Earth, her Brother, Dennis (Marjorie) Anderson of Slayton, her Aunt, Lorraine Dahms of Mankato, two nephews and three nieces. She preceded in death by her parents an infant niece and an infant nephew.
