Betty J. Boeck, age 80, of Amboy, died Tuesday, August 21, 2012, at Parker Oaks. Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 24, 2012, at 10:30 AM, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Amboy, with Rev. Vance Milbrath officiating. Burial will be in Pleasantview Cemetery, Amboy, MN. Visitation time will be from one hour prior to services at the church. On October 7, 1951 she married Ronald Boeck at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Amboy. She worked as a homemaker raising her 2 daughters, a hostess at Norman’s Café in Amboy and the Junction Inn in Mankato, was a foster parent in Blue Earth County for over 10 years, active member of the St. Paul Ladies Guild, and a teachers aide for ECFE in Maple River. She is survived by husband, Ronald Boeck of Amboy, daughters Cindy (Tom) Davis of Mankato, Patty (Bart) Smith of Amboy, sister, Marion Templeton of Napa, CA, sister, Karen Nibbe of Vernon Center, 6 grandchildren, Heather (Tyler) Dressen, Ryan (Laura) Stevermer, Nathan Smith, Hilary Davis, Brandon Smith, Samantha Smith, great-grandson Ryder Stevermer, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Virginia and Marlys.
