Lois I. Hartman, age 82 of Mapleton, died Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at Mapleton Community Home. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, June 23, 2012, at 10:00 AM, at Jackson Lake Lutheran Church in Amboy, with Rev. Todd Substad officiating. Burial will be in Vernon Center Cemetery. Visitation time will be from 8:00 AM to service time at the church on Saturday. Spencer Owen Funeral Home in Winnebago is assisting the family with the arrangements.. Web tributes may be left at www.spencerowen.com Lois was born February 25, 1930 in Amboy, MN the daughter of Ralph and Ima (Buckmister) Lloyd. She was raised and educated at Amboy, graduating in 1948. She married Merton Hartman on February 8, 1953. They farmed at Hancock, MN for three years before farming in West Concord until 1973 and then moving to Amboy. She was a member of Jackson Lake Lutheran Church, Jackson Lake Women and a neighborhood project group. She was a loving homemaker. Lois enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, cross stitching, hardanger, her flower gardens, and birds. Grateful to have shared her life are her daughters Diane Vrieze (Tom Hammell) of Chatfield, MN, Rose Hartman (Mark Noble) of West Concord, MN, grandsons, Bradley Vrieze of Fountain, MN and Darren Sorgatz of Great Falls, MT, great-granddaughters, Cailyn Vrieze, Sondra Sorgatz, four sisters Alethea Zacharias of Mankato, MN, Shirley (Tony) D’Angelo of Harminister, PA, Jessica (Lenny) Kijenski of Hugo, MN, Linda (Bob) Nesbitts of Nolalu Ontario, Canada, brothers: Arlo (Katie) Lloyd of Alexandria, VA, Dean (Nancy) Lloyd of Elmore, MN, Dale (Jackie) Lloyd of Winnebago, MN, Jerry Lloyd of Hammond, WI, Owen (Bev) Lloyd of Delavan, MN, John Lloyd of Amboy, MN, Arlen (Dawn) Lloyd of Gruver, TX, sister-in-law Marcia Lloyd of Winnebago, MN, and several nieces and nephews. Lois was preceded in death by her parents, husband Merton, sister Nyla Sauter, three brothers Tom, Joe, and James Lloyd.
