Harold Grabouski, age 49, of Winnebago, died Wednesday, April 11, 2012, at his home. Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 16, 2012, at 1:00 PM, at East Chain Evangelical Free Church in East Chain, with Rev. Jerry Bertholat officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Winnebago, MN. Visitation time will be from 4:00 to 8:00 PM Sunday, at Spencer Owen Funeral Home, 345 6th Ave SE in Winnebago and one hour prior to services at the church. Web tributes may be left at www.spencerowen.com Harold was born March 2, 1963, in Beatrice, Nebraska, the son of Harold Grabouski, Sr. and Dolores (Hubka) Grabouski. He was raised and educated in the Winnebago area where he graduated from Granada-Huntley High School in 1981. He earned his bachelors degree in Animal Science from South Dakota State University before his marriage to Janet M. Hiatt on May 11, 1985 in Winnebago. He attended graduate school at the University of Nebraska at Lincoln and began working with Land O Lakes in Charles City, Iowa as a swine specialist. He returned to the Winnebago & Granada areas in 1991 where he worked for the Truman Farmers Elevator and as a hand with local hog farm operations. In the mid 1990’s he began his own hog operation, Jackson Road Pork, where he continued to the present. Harlod was a member of the East Chain Evangelical Free Church, Faribault Co. Planning & Zoning Commission and enjoyed attending various Pork Producers meetings throughout the midwest. He liked being on his farm and enjoyed following the MN sports teams as well as local highschool sports teams. He greatest joy was being with his family and he will be greatly missed. Harold Grabouski is survived by his wife, Janet Grabouski of Winnebago, his Father, Harold (Beverly) Grabouski, Sr. of Winnebago, his daughter, Alanna Grabouski of Winnebago, his son, Evan Grabouski of Winnebago, his sister, Sheri Anderson of Blue Earth, his sister, Deanna (Dave) Bigelbach of Redwing, his sister, Heather (Jason) Mangen of Sleepy Eye, his brother, Garth (Lori) Carlson of Madelia, his brother in law, Bruce (Maggie) Hiatt of Granada, his brother in law, Brian (Lisa) Hiatt of Mesquite, Texas, his sister in law, Kathy (Joel) Korteum of Carlton, his sister in law, Cynde (Dennis) Vaillancourt of Mesa, Arizon, his brother in law, Kevin (Beth) Iliff of Thief River Falls, Janet’s aunt and Uncle- Shirley & Maurice Iliff of Cloquet and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother-Dolores and his mother & father-in-law, Bud & Joyce Hiatt.
