Genevieve Harriet Boeck, age 88, of North Mankato, formerly of Amboy, died Friday, February 24, 2012, at Monarch Meadows, North Mankato. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 01, 2012, at 11:00 AM, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Amboy, with Rev. Vance Milbrath officiating. Burial will be in St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery, Amboy, MN. Visitation time will be from one hour prior to services at the church. Spencer Owen Funeral Home of Winnebago is assisting the family with the arrangements. Web tributes may be left at www.spencerowen.com Genevieve was born March 3, 1923, in Amboy the daughter of Harry and Betsy (Haugen) Schneeberger. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Amboy. In 1941 she graduated from Amboy High School. Employment included Boesch Insurance, Midtex and Telex. On October 20, 1946 she was united in marriage to Alvin Boeck. The couple farmed in Willow Creek until 1964, at which time they moved to Amboy. She was a member of the Guild and Legion Auxiliary. In 2000 the couple moved to North Point in North Mankato. She enjoyed music, reading, traveling and her family. Genevieve is survived by her three daughters: Jane Schreader of Mankato, Delores Boeck(& husband Eugene Wee)of Lawrence, Kansas, Deborah (Paul) Young of N. Mankato, her sister, Virgeen (Robert) Sears of Rohnert Park, California, her three brothers: Harlan Schneeberger of Mapleton, Orvin Schneeberger of Mapleton, Warren (Joyce) Schneeberger of Brainerd, her grandchildren, Amy Boyd, Jerry Young, Mike Young, Damon Mar and her great grandchildren, Brandi, Ava & Treyvon Boyd. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband-Alvin in 2009.
