John was never a stranger to anyone; he would literally give the shirt off his back to anyone, and did! He loved his family, especially his granddaughters, farming in MN and John Deere tractors. He was asked once why didn’t he farm in Arizona, his response was to say ‘he didn’t know the land like Minnesota.’
