Dorothy M. Bahls, age 87, of Winnebago, died Sunday, April 17, 2011, at St. Luke’s Lutheran Care Center, Blue Earth. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 20, 2011, at 2:00 PM, at Lutheran Church of Our Savior in Winnebago, with Rev. Ronald Jobe officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Winnebago, . Visitation time will be 2 hours before services at the church. Spencer-Owen Funeral Home in Winnebago is assisting the family with the arrangements. Web tributes may be left at www.spencerowen.com Dorothy M. Bahls was born November 18, 1923, in Charter Oak, Iowa, the daughter of Frederick and Edna (Eyer) Rabe. She was raised in the Charter Oak area where she attended Paradise Township country school. She was married to Harry Frank Bahls on May 11, 1956. Dorothy was a homemaker and had worked as a custodian at the Granada-Huntley Schools and later as a nurse’s aide at Parker Oaks in Winnebago. She was a member of the Lutheran Church of Our Savior in Winnebago. She enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing and crocheting. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, husband Frank in 1974, sons William and Grant Bahls and sister Gertrude Anna Gress. Dorothy is survived by many relatives and friends.
